The True Sound I saw this post on one of my buddies from high school, Dewitt Law and wanted to share it for this holiday season. I am not a shopper by any means having only visited the Anchorage Malls less than 8 times in my over 10 years in Alaska.  I have no idea where this happened but it is pretty neat and reminds me of the days of old in Atlanta where everyone gathered on the streets below the skywalk at Rich’s department store on Thanksgiving evening to sing carols and await the lighting of the great tree.  It we were good kids we were able to ride the Pink Pig and get a treat from our parents. A much simpler time that mostly has been long forgotten with our own children as technology has overtaken us in our daily lives. Please watch and enjoy! Happy Holidays everyone. Ice

There was a program on National Geographic about a ten-member team that is about to climb Turkey 's tallest mountain in search of what they believe to be Noah's Ark.  It was in interesting program giving the pros and cons about whether or not this may actually may be the remains of Noah’s boat. It got me thinking for a minute and reminded me of the movie Evan Almighty with Steve Carell about a reluctant boat maker.  This might be somewhat of a rant but it is not meant to be . . . just the crazy thoughts of times long ago. Is this the way the creator of the universe works? God makes everything.   But He can't make a boat? That's proof He/She/It is very powerful indeed.  God is the culmination of all knowledge, forgiveness and love.  I think that's a nice definition we can all agree on.  So You then decide to make some poor, lowly human build a ship out of wood to save two of every animal from a flood You are creating to punish a wicked world? ...

Palm Sunday is today and with it the start of Holy Week for many of us and the beginning of the Easter season. Most popular historical records agree: Jesus was a real man, who actually walked the earth 2 millennia ago.  Whether He is/was the Son of God remains up for debate in the secular community, but it's irrelevant.  Look at it this way . . . a guy cared so much about humanity that he taught millions of people a new, more respectful way to live and he died instead of betraying his faith.  No matter what religion you follow, that sort of character deserves the utmost respect. We need those type people more than ever right now. Happy Easter everyone. Ice
