Starry . . . Starry Night . . . Sirens delight?

You know how much I like coffee and it is sometimes fascinating and a little bit scary when you start to realize how many coffee places there are around Anchorage . The kiosks and little coffee huts are everywhere. When I first arrived in Alaska the first project I worked on was building the UAA Library. I first noticed the coffee kiosks driving the four miles from my house to the UAA University jobsite. There were 12 places to stop in or drive up to for a cup of java on that short distance to and from work. My favorite place to stop was called “Sugar Shack Espresso” on my way to the project where I would get myself and Tom, my job foreman a cup everyday. The two ladies that worked there would see my ‘rig’ pull in and have my cups ready before I pulled up to the window. The project lasted almost a year and a half with many cups of java consumed. Shortly after the library project I was involved in the first Anchorage Starbucks being built in one of the groce

Anna . . . Anna . . . Anna

Anna Nicole . . . Day 7 Do you find it ironic that one of the most played television sound bites for Anna Nicole was her “Like my body?” statement at the American Music Awards. It seems right now . . . no one wants (or gets) her cold body . . . as it is laying in the Florida morgue . . . The courts are holding it for DNA samples . . . who shall end up with her remains? The mother? Virgie Arthur? The ‘commitment husband’? Howard K. Stern? The baby? Dannilyn? The ex-boyfriend #1 Larry Birkhead? The ex-boyfriend #2 Prince Frederic Von Anhalt, husband of Zsa Zsa Gabor The ex-boyfriend #3 Alexander Denk? It is a growing list of possibilities, next there will be claims somehow by the deceased husband#2 J. Howard Marshall II (frozen sperm possibility) who may want her interred with his remains . . . finally in death they are together for all time . . . as she wished in one interview. So many questions . . . Not many answers . . . Two weeks ago

Life Observation # 40

If you are a music-lover, you will have songs stuck in your head. Deal with it and enjoy the tunes. Ice

This is kinda Cool

Watch this as it is a pretty cool commercial. Honda - The Cog It runs about 3 minutes long and has no 'cut' camera shots. This was made with parts from the car in Rube Goldberg fashion. The only thing that was 'changed' was the lighting in the final shot of the car for reflections in the window. Enjoy! Ice
