Jerry Sandusky you are a piece of crap and should be flogged in public!

Image
This from the Wall Street Journal’s report from tonight’s NBC’s magazine “Rock Center”, Jerry Sandusky says: “I shouldn’t have showered with those kids”. I am one not to rant too much but this really pisses me off to no end.   He states he is innocent but he did do some of those things.   Now I am not sure where you come from or what your daddy taught you but anytime that urge hits you to shower or touch children comes over ones self it is time for you to put a gun in your mouth as God intends for you to be culled from the herd of those of us who never entertain those thoughts.   Anytime there is no major flag or siren going off in ones head as they are about to do something so terrible to an innocent child, you have lost your moral compass and to my way of thinking the compass was never there in the first place or there is no way to redeem oneself to get pointed back on track.   Rehabilitation should not be an option as it has repeatedly shown that more often t...

Karma vs. Faith

There was an incident at my work today that had me thinking about several things. Someone parked a car at the top of our parking lot and left to go inside to work in the building next to ours.   One of my co-workers, Faith came to work a little later than usual due to her son’s school activities.   She parked in a different spot than her ‘normal’ one as most of us are creatures of habit and leave for work at the same time, arrive at the same time and park in ‘our’ spot each day.   We do not change very much of our daily activities going home the same way, stopping for things from the store on the same day each week or weekend.   We all do it. Several hours after work started there was an email sent saying a vehicle had “rolled over in the parking lot”.   It did not say which side of the building this happened so I looked out my window and noticed a car had plowed into one or two other vehicles.   Later it was discovered that the vehicle that had parked...

MSNBC . . . What happened? I think the thrill is gone!

Remember back before the election during all of the campaigning and coverage of the presidential primaries how MSNBC was gushing all over Barack Obama? Well it is interesting now a year later to see how things have changed.  Its not the same now as reality sinks in.  Did you watch Obama's TelePrompTer reading last night?  What a mess we are in and a joke of a speech.  I couldn’t watch all of it because my bullshit meter kept going off and pegging the “get out your chest waders” because we are in deep shit.  He didn't read anything that was unexpected. Holding BP accountable.                        Yep we’ve heard that for 58 days now. We've been on the job from day 1.      Yep typical ‘no urgency’ gov’nment job. Clean up the Gulf Coast .                ...

John Meyer Who the Hell is he?

I suffered tonight while eating dinner as I sat watching television.  I had been watching the local news which as I did that manly thing of channel surfing I stumbled upon either “Show Biz Tonight” or “Entertainment Tonight”.  They both look the same to me as I never watch these programs but the ‘teaser’ during the commercial gave reference to a pre-Olympic story on skier Lindsey Vonn which I wanted to see. While I waited for the story I was bombarded by a story about John Meyer’s raunchy talk about his former love Jessica Simpson.  Who cares was my first thought, and then I went into wondering who the hell John Mayer is?  Turns out he is somewhat of a singer and had the song from The Bucket List, “Say”.  Yeah that was annoying long before I ever saw the movie with its repeating the line “Say what you need to say” 41 times in just over 3 minutes and 44 seconds.  It was not the neat little ditty like some songs that stick in your brain to help you bright...

TSA . . . Oh Pooh

Now to report on a ‘sticky’ situation a few days ago in California . . . Over the holidays an incident happened in Bakersfield when one of the many people traveling went through the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) security checkpoint and was detained when two agents ‘found’ what they suspected to be a suspicious liquid. The passenger was said to be fully cooperating with TSA which leaves one to wonder just how incompetent some of these people are.  A hazardous material crew and bomb squad were called to Meadows Field Airport when sharp eyed TSA spotted several jars in a passenger's luggage. The airport was put under a security lockdown for hours while the investigation was ongoing.  The liquid substance that had everyone so worried?  Honey . . . the stuff Winnie the Pooh likes to eat.  It’s not just the human component of Homeland Security that failed, though. An expensive machine designed to detect the chemical signature of explosives c...

Story of a Life

This is one of those days with life lessons and realizations about people and how they really are and how we wanted to perceive them.  The only problem is the reality of what they are comes through and the hope they were honorable is thrown out the window as their true nature finally sinks in.  It is sad when people take no accountability for their actions instead blaming everyone else hoping the slight of hand takes the spotlight off their actions. It reminds me of a story my father told me many years ago when I was a young boy just learning about how to live your life and dealing with people you are in contact with in business.  Sadly many fathers never shared the story with sons leaving many to Barney Fife their way through life. An elderly carpenter was ready to retire.  He told his employer-contractor of his plans to leave the house building business and live a more leisurely life with his wife, enjoying his extended family.  He would miss the payche...

Big Brother 11 as a Job interview

I had the distinct joy of watching Big Brother on television tonight and it was not entertaining listening to all of the chaos going on within the house. I started thinking about these young people who are our youth in America and how they approach things, problem solve, and deal with the inner workings of relationships with themselves and those around them. It was a pretty sad thing to watch the last three weeks as they have no clue what it is like to engage each other with respect, gamesmanship, and trust. If this program was viewed as a job interview for most of these housemates they would be lucky to get any job whatsoever. They could not check the box that says: “plays well with others”. The “How do you establish a working relationship with new people” question could set off an nasty tirade of swearing and first impressions about those they walked by on the way to the interview. If the question comes out as to “what have you been most frequently critic...

Stupid is . . . as stupid Does

This whole fiasco with Obama, Dr. Henry Lewis Gates, Sgt. Crowley, and the Cambridge Police Force has drawn attention from both sides of a tired argument about the state of our nation’s health . . . our racial health. In the movie Forrest Gump he states: “Stupid is . . . as stupid does.” Maybe its stupidity that is running rampart in America today. Before I comment here is a copy of the police report. Police Report Short version (If there is one): Respected Harvard professor Dr. Henry Lewis Gates (a black man) returns from an overseas trip from China to his home, (probably exhausted) has trouble getting into the front door, enlists help from another man (also black) who is seen by a neighbor attempting to “break in” or force the door open (not the first time at this residence). Neighbor calls police where Sgt. Crowley who is close by responds being the first to arrive. ( Crowley is a admin type officer, not a “beat cop”) Crowley is...
