High Definition & Andy Rooney . . . facial hair

I was flipping through the channels on the television and explaining about the remote to my wife on the differences between the regular TV signal and the HD box? After a year watching she has finally discovered High Definition television and the many programs available. All it takes is going through the channels or searching the guide to the HD section to see what is playing at any giving time. Doesn't she know that there are kids out there who don't have HD and suffer with the normal digital cable, or . . . gulp . . . regular cable, never to see the depths of Andy Rooney's ear hair and luscious eyebrows, or every detail of Survivor contestants pubic regions (thankfully blurred out the majority of the time . . . hey CBS, thanks for offering Survivor in HD this year! Alaskan Roadkill Recipes

It’s getting colder here in Alaska and once again its time for more great food as our freezers are stocked now from another season of hunting and fishing. The store is 172,000 square feet (about four acres) and the ‘official’ opening is not until Sunday but they opened a few days early so everyone could get a brief look and bargains before the weekend. The mad house today was like the opening of the Golden Corral restaurant a few months back . . . packed house with a full parking lot overflowing into the spaces of the soon to open Kohl’s, Lowe’s, and several other stores. I think Target’s red bull’s eye found its mark in Alaska . I sat down and flipping through the channels came across the movie ‘Transformers’ thinking it would be a stupid silly movie. I started watching and could not turn it to another channel. It was fun, witty, and sci-fi entertainment. As I sat there watching thinking ab...
