Global Warming . . . Drink up

In Alaska we hear quite a lot about Global Warming and its possible effects in various locations throughout rural Alaska. There have been several movies and documentaries about what might come one day so I started thinking about this for a moment.

I sat down with my drink and considered the possibilities for a time . . .

My approach to this blog has always been to look at things from a slightly different perspective and this world issue certainly calls for everyone to give this problem some serious thought . . . sips on my drink again as I settle the glass back on the table . . . and it occurred to me . . .

This little idea is for everyone who is worried and frightened we will all drown when the polar ice cap melts due to ‘Global Warming’. I suggest you try this little experiment yourself to ease your worries.

Remember my drink . . .

Go and get yourself a tall glass and place three or four ice cubes into it.

Slowly add water until the cubes are floating freely in the glass.

Mark the water level on the glass and sit back and observe.

When the ice melts check the water level in the glass now in relation to your previous mark.

Now comes the fun part . . . dump the water out of the glass and replace it with your favorite beverage . . . mine happens to be . . . oh never mind, but just fill it with what you enjoy and sit back enjoy that feeling of relief now that you know we are not doomed after all.

It may just be an ‘inconvenient truth’ after all . . . but as you see it for what it is . . . we can all sleep at night and seriously figure out ways to reduce our impact to the environment and to each other.

Drink up and have a nice day.
