Friday madness . . . Odds and ends


I was standing in line at the bank yesterday. As if there isn’t enough anxiety about banks these days, the branch where I go has a giant plasma screen TV behind the tellers so you can watch while you’re standing in line.

Great.

They always have it on CNN.  I’m worried about my account because of a mistake they made earlier and now I get to watch another war and more people with blood on their faces in Texas at Ft. Hood from an Army Major who is a coward killing soldiers and civilians as I wait to speak with a representative. Please pump all the fear and loathing you can into an otherwise normal trip to the bank, Wells Fargo!

A shipment of Viagra was high jacked today I saw it on the news.  Police have put out an All-Points bulletin: Be on the lookout for two hardened criminals! They will face a stiff sentence when convicted and they'll surely be sent to a Penal Institution.

Have you realized that in about 30 years, we'll have thousands of OLD LADIES running around with tattoos?  (And RAP music will be the Golden Oldies!) 

The World Series is over now and the boys of October can have that much needed break until spring training resumes.  Think about this . . . No one ever says "It's only a game" when his team is winning.  Congrats should probably go to NY but after all the druggies in baseball over the last few years it’s just not my favorite pastime anymore.


The Alaskan state legislature is currently evenly split along party lines between moose and polar bears.

Nothing is absolute.
Nothing is impossible.
Tables turn.
Having regrets is foolish.

Have a great weekend as I go back to working on that bathroom.  It is slow going now with several loose ends needing to be completed before everything gets covered again.  The rough in is almost done except for some final tie-ins when I shut off the electrical panel this weekend and make the final connections.  Insulation and vapor barrier will be installed and I can start hanging Durock Concrete board.

Are Showing Your Nipples Appropriate Work Attire?

Let me first say that personally, I have no problem with it at all. This has been kind of a weird week here in the north land with the first of many winter snowfalls’s to come and the landscape once again beautifully covered in the white stuff. It looks like the kids will have to put their Halloween costume on over a snowsuit again this year as the cold snowy stuff is here again. That is not what I wanted to write about tonight but was necessary to set up what I did want to write about. “Frosty nipples” are quite common here during most of the year and when things cool down on the cusp of winter probably more so. Work attire with tight shirts or low cut blouses that ‘make a statement’ during colder weather could be taken several ways by co-workers or visitors to your place of business.
