Obama in Alaska

If only so briefly . . .

Got Gas . . . Obama did as he stopped in Alaska to refuel Air Force One on his overseas trip to Asia this afternoon.

President Barack Obama stopped by Alaska’s Elmendorf Air Force Base this afternoon on his way to a nine-day Asian tour.

Obama declared a new, personal milestone: he has visited all 50 states.

Oh yes . . . and he held a rally for the troops and met briefly with several families who have lost loved ones overseas in combat.  The base was closed to the public but military personnel were allowed to Hanger 1 for his speech and a time for hand shaking before re-boarding the plane to continue his trip to Tokyo

You can probably see I am more interested in the plane than showing pictures of the speech but Welcome to Alaska Commander in Chief for finally making it to the northland.  It you had made it yesterday at the time you landed it would have been in blizzard conditions so you were able so see a bit of the State flying in and out today as the weather was nice.
