Jerry Sandusky you are a piece of crap and should be flogged in public!
This from the Wall Street Journal’s report from tonight’s NBC’s magazine “Rock Center”, Jerry Sandusky says: “I shouldn’t have showered with those kids”.
I am one not to rant too much but this really pisses me off to no end. He states he is innocent but he did do some of those things. Now I am not sure where you come from or what your daddy taught you but anytime that urge hits you to shower or touch children comes over ones self it is time for you to put a gun in your mouth as God intends for you to be culled from the herd of those of us who never entertain those thoughts.
Anytime there is no major flag or siren going off in ones head as they are about to do something so terrible to an innocent child, you have lost your moral compass and to my way of thinking the compass was never there in the first place or there is no way to redeem oneself to get pointed back on track. Rehabilitation should not be an option as it has repeatedly shown that more often than not another incident happens again and again and usually caught over and over again.
There were many breakdowns of our system and the honor among men who worked with Sandusky. He set up a charity . . . was it to lure these boys for his deviant desires? Only he knows for sure.
Were the well being of a college’s football program more important than going beyond the “I reported it to my superior.” These were supposedly honorable men who have built the aspirations of many players to be the best they could be on any given Saturday or Sunday and to live life to an uncompromising team spirit and sacrifice.
It is unforgivable that those who witnessed Sandusky having sex with these boys did not act to stop the incident while it was in progress and only ‘report’ it later on. Sandusky should have had his ass kicked and dragged to the administration and to the police. Shame on those who allowed this to happen for many years . . . I can only hope your legacy is one of shame for not doing the right thing.
Sadly, over the years I have tired of most sports and the personnel who are involved with the teams. Lost is the idea of “America’s favorite pastime” with the money and drugged players in baseball and football. Basketball and hockey have had their un-shining moments over the years so it is no wonder that there are owner/player strikes. I can only hope that everyone is fired and teams form again for “the Love of the Game” where it is about playing and not about the fame and money. Where a Hall of Fame or Heisman trophy player is revered like when I was a child and everyone wanted to be like that person to have talent enough to make the team.
I am sure there will continue to be fallout from this tragedy but one can only hope it brings light to the problems where influence and power over others is acceptable for some organizations and all the rest of us stand up and say NO and bring the full wrath of the legal system to those involved.
That’s my 2 cents, thanks for listening.
