Obama . . . Let’s take a walk

A friend in Florida sent me an E-Mail circulating around Orlando which detailed the following . . .

A small business owner who was resigned to the probability of Obama winning the Presidency had done a little preliminary financial calculation & came to a realization he would at a minimum have to raise his pricing 7% to 10% just to meet the minimum increased costs for what he anticipated the healthcare costs from Obama`s plans would be.

With sad realization he knew in his business field, most customers would be unwilling to accept the increased costs. He estimated that perhaps 10 of his 30 employees would have to be laid off due to a projected loss of business.

This individual felt very sad about the situation, particularly given that these employees had been with the company for a long time & he considered them to be almost like family. Pondering who would most likely be the ones who would have to go, during his lunch break he took a walk around his business property alone to privately consider this difficult decision. That is until he got to the company parking lot where eight vehicles had Obama campaign signs in the rear windows or on the bumper.

Needless to say . . . the first eight for the list were selected. Sometimes bad decisions do have consequence.

Are Showing Your Nipples Appropriate Work Attire?

Let me first say that personally, I have no problem with it at all. This has been kind of a weird week here in the north land with the first of many winter snowfalls’s to come and the landscape once again beautifully covered in the white stuff. It looks like the kids will have to put their Halloween costume on over a snowsuit again this year as the cold snowy stuff is here again. That is not what I wanted to write about tonight but was necessary to set up what I did want to write about. “Frosty nipples” are quite common here during most of the year and when things cool down on the cusp of winter probably more so. Work attire with tight shirts or low cut blouses that ‘make a statement’ during colder weather could be taken several ways by co-workers or visitors to your place of business.
